Privacy in SoZo: Your Data, Your Rules

For SoZo, privacy means your data is yours alone. You own it, you control it. It is never sold, never tracked, and never used to improve or train our system. Unlike other services that use your data and conversations to improve their global systems, SoZo keeps your data private by design.

Here is the most important thing to know: Only your device holds the keys to your data. The SoZo server stores your information for you, but it cannot read it. Only your phone or computer can decrypt and view your content.

Here is how it works in plain terms:

1. Only Your Device Can Read Your Data

Most apps send your data to their servers in a readable format. SoZo is different.

You Hold the Keys: Your conversations and memories are locked with a key that only exists on your device. We don’t have it. Before any data leaves your phone or computer, it is unlocked using your private key.

Encryption on Your Device: Your memories, conversations and data are stored on our servers as scrambled, unreadable data (encrypted blobs). Even if someone hacked our servers or demanded your data, they would only see gibberish. SoZo knows that you have data, but we cannot read what is inside it. Even we do not have the keys to unlock it.

No Central Password: Your access is secured by passkeys (biometrics/PIN) that never leave your device. There is no central password database to leak. If you lose your passkeys/password, we cannot recover your data because no one holds the keys but you alone.

How SoZo Sees your data to provide personalized guidance while preserving your privacy.

• Download and Decrypt Locally: When you start a session with SoZo, your device downloads your encrypted memories from the server and decrypts them locally using your private key.

• Send to SoZo: Your device sends these decrypted memories, along with your current question to SoZo’s processing engine over a secure, encrypted connection (the same high-level security standard used by banks). 

• Isolated Processing: SoZo processes your request in an isolated environment. It does not store the data in readable format ever.  

• Secure Return: SoZo sends the answer back to your device over the same secure connection.

• Forget: Once the response is delivered, the SoZo model and processing engine discards the session data. Your encrypted data and memories remain securely on the server for your next session, but the live interaction is forgotten immediately. This is stateless processing, which ensures that no record of your specific questions or answers in readable format is kept by the system.  

Simply put, you sign in, ask a question, your device decrypts the data and SoZo provides an answer unique to you. You sign off, and all of your data awaits your next login, secure and private, available to you and no one else.

2. SoZo: Helpful, Not Watchful

Almost all technology systems you use today require you to surrender privacy for convenience. They send your questions and data to cloud servers where they may be logged, reviewed, or used to train future models. SoZo is different:

No Shared Training Data: SoZo does not use your conversations to train its systems. Your conversations stay yours as encrypted blobs. We do not send any requests to external services, including general-purpose AI models that are trained on billions of users’ data.

Isolated, Secure Processing: When you ask SoZo a question, it processes the request in an isolated, secure environment. It generates a response and then forgets the conversation. SoZo’s models and processing engine are stateless and do not store your questions or outputs in a readable format in a persistent database that can be accessed later.

EU-Based Privacy Protection: The SoZo system is hosted in EU-based data centers. This means your data is protected by GDPR, one of the strictest privacy laws in the world. Unlike many US-based tech giants, your data stays within a legal framework that prioritizes your rights and privacy by design.

No Behavioral Profiling: SoZo does not track who you are, what you search for, or how you behave to sell your information to advertisers.

3. Your Memories: Assisted by SoZo, Controlled by You

Personalization often conflicts with privacy. We solved this by making memories transparent and controllable.

How It Works: SoZo automatically identifies and saves important facts from your conversations to personalize your experience (e.g., saving that you are allergic to peanuts, specific health issues, or symptoms). However, you have full transparency and control. You can view every saved memory in your ‘Memories’ at any time. You can edit, add, or delete any memory. If you delete it, it is gone forever. SoZo only uses what is currently in your ‘Memories’.

The "On-Demand" Memory Process by our models:

• SoZo does not have a permanent memory of you on its servers.

• Your device decrypts your saved memories and preferences and sends them to SoZo only for the duration of your request.

• Once the request is complete, the decrypted data is cleared from SoZo’s processing memory. The server never saw the plaintext data; it only processed the request and returned the result.

4. The Bottom Line

Privacy in SoZo is structural, not optional.

Other Apps: "We encrypt your messages, but we still know who you are, what you search for, and we use that data to improve our models and system."

SoZo: "We encrypt everything. Our system helps you in the moment, but it never sees your identity, never stores your conversation logs in readable format, and never uses your data to train our system and the specific AI models SoZo uses. It only uses your memories and only for the duration of the session and conversation. When you leave, it forgets."

You own your data. You control your memory. And you keep your privacy.
